Don’t Miss Out!

The Federal Fleet Policy Council, the U.S. Postal Service, and the U.S. General Services Administration, Office of Governmentwide Policy (OGP), are sponsoring the second National Federal Fleet Manager Workshop and Information Fair. FedFleet 2000 will be held in Orlando, Florida, July 31-August 3, 2000.

Building on the success of FedFleet ’98: Navigating the Future, FedFleet 2000 is designed to meet the needs of all levels of fleet management in the Federal government, as well as state and local officials, and members of the private sector.

What is FEDFLEET?

There are more than 575,000 motor vehicles in the Federal government’s fleet. The size, complexity, and cost of the Federal motor vehicle fleet make it one of OGP’s significant spheres of influence. The Federal Fleet Policy Council (FEDFLEET) provides an excellent forum for Federal agencies to communicate, discuss concerns, and devise solutions to common problems.

FEDFLEET’s membership consists of representatives from Federal agencies or activities at the national level who operate Federal motor vehicle fleets. The Council provides an effective mechanism for coordinating Federal vehicle management programs and policies, reviewing new technologies and automated systems, analyzing current trends, proposed regulations, and international agreements. FEDFLEET is the "vehicle" for governmentwide liaison among Federal agencies, the private sector, and other governmental entities concerning vehicle management issues.

It makes good business sense to manage the Federal motor vehicle fleet efficiently and effectively. One way to encourage and foster good management practices is to attend workshops and information fairs like FedFleet 2000. Mark your calendars, plan your FY 2000 budgets, and join us in Orlando for FedFleet 2000-Millennium Madness: A Clear Perspective.

Why should you attend?

Two primary focuses of FedFleet 2000 will be communication and interaction between Federal agencies at the National, regional, and local levels and automotive-related vendors. The workshops, plenary sessions, and exhibitor exposition will provide a full range of fleet-related topics, current issues and future trends.

Attendance at FedFleet 2000 will provide the necessary information exchange, education and policy updates to enable Federal fleet managers at all levels to better perform their job of managing the government’s assets.
